Skoda Auto India Is Getting A Total Overhaul; Confirms New Models For India
oi-Abijith Vilangil
Skoda Auto India is all set for a major revamp in the form of new products, new design language, and a highly improved dealer service.
Skoda customers and enthusiasts in the country have been waiting for this for a long time now.
The Czech manufacturer today announced its plan to launch four new models in India in the upcoming year, including the seven-seater Kodiaq, the Octavia RS, and the Rapid facelift. The details about the fourth model are yet to be revealed.
Skoda also announced, there will be two new limited-run models -- the Octavia Black Edition and Rapid Monte Carlo. Both of these cars will be launched during the first quarter of 2017.
In another move, Skoda Auto India will also offer ABS as standard on their entire line-up by December 2016.
The company will also target a high-level customer satisfaction since Skoda has been known for customer complaints and high maintenance costs.
Speaking at the media meet in today, Sudhir Rao, chairman and managing director, Skoda Auto India, unveiled their plans for sales and service initiatives which would dramatically change the consumer's opinion about the brand.
As an effort to modernise the brand, Skoda will also revamp its entire sales outlets and roll out a new brand campaign from September 2016.
The company is also ready to introduce a new service initiative called 'My-Skoda' mobile application and offer extended warranty.
