Hyundai To Debut Latest Generation Of i30 At Paris Motor Show 2016
At the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2016, Hyundai will debut its latest generation i30 before its official launch in the global market.
The New Hyundai i30 will come in three body types - a five-door hatchback, an estate, and a four-door coupe, mainly targeting the European market. The three-door version of the new i30 will be dropped due to drop in demand.
Spy pictures of the new Hyundai i30 been doing the rounds on the internet, test mules were spotted in the Arctic and Swiss Alps and have been spotted testing at the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany. Hyundai has a development centre at this track.
The new i30 will come with revised grille which is in league with the new generation Hyundais. Hence, the next generation Hyundai i30 will also get 'N' performance model, which is range-topping among the variants.
It will rival the Volkswagen Golf GTI when it goes on sale in the global market and mark Hyundai's entry into the performance road car segment. Doing the duty on the i30 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and will be sharing the technology from the WRC based i20 rally car.
Speculation is that it could come in the hybrid avatar as well. The current i30 was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 which was part of the company's display of models. There is no indication that it might come to India, however, the South Korean auto major is gearing up to launch the Tucson and the new Elantra in India.
