The New Avatar Of Honda City To Be Launched In India In 2017
Honda City revolutionised the sedan segment and became one of the most popular car in India. The popular Honda car is about to get a new facelift and it is believed to be launched in January 2017. Honda Cars India exported two facelifted prototypes of the new City to Japan. The prototypes that were sent to Japan were packed with the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine which is used in the existing sedan.
The facelift for the City is to compete with the likes of new Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna, both expected to be launched at the same time. The model will have both interior and exterior updates along with some mechanical changes. The car will have a bolder grille with more chromium , LED DRLs, sportier bumpers and revised taillamp section. As of now details of the car are sufficient. It is expected to the very similar with the Honda Griez which was unveiled in China in October 2015.
On the inside, the car is likely to have a 5.7cm LCD touch screen, hands-free telephone controls, paddle shift, satellite navigation and a lot more. On the safety side, the car will have ABS with EBD, parking sensors, front and side impact beams and 6 airbags.
The year 2017 will be a great year for mid-size sedan segment because of the three new facelifted cars from three giant manufacturers. Let them battle it out and see who can claim the title of the best-selling sedan.
