Leaked Images Reveal New Maruti Suzuki Swift
Leaked images from a Suzuki dealers meet have revealed the new Maruti Suzuki Swift ahead of its debut later this year.
The leaked images, courtesy AutoExpress, reveal the new Suzuki Swift in all its glory. The basic profile of the Swift remains the same but Maruti has added a large hexagonal grille and air intakes around the fog lamps, as well as slightly redesigned headlamps.
The new Swift creates the illusion of a floating roof thanks to a darkened C-pillar, and the door handles of the rear doors are hidden in the top corner of the window. The quirky wraparound taillamps add a bit of flair at the rear.
Inside, the Swift features a more premium interior with a new steering wheel behind which sits a two pod instrument cluster along with new controls for the HVAC and circular AC vents in the centre. Also on the centre console is a display for the infotainment system.
The new Swift is expected to use the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine from the Baleno RS along with the usual 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to launch in India in 2017.
