The next-gen Suzuki Swift is the much-awaited hatchback and the leaked images have been doing the rounds of the internet. But finally, the car will be revealed.

Suzuki will reveal the production ready 2017 Swift on 27th December 2016. The recently leaked images only show the front fascia of the car, while the most section of the vehicle is yet to be revealed.

The next-generation Suzuki Swift sports a smooth flowing exterior design with large hexagonal front grille with chrome detailing. The new model gets new headlamps and diamond cut alloy wheels.

Although the new Swift appears to be similar in size to the current model, the 2017 Swift is said to be 15 percent lighter. Suzuki claims the rigidity of the new model has been improved by ten percent compared to the current model.

The India-bound 2017 Suzuki Swift is expected to be powered by the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel motor. But it is said that it may also get the 1-litre Boosterjet engine from the Baleno platform.

The 1-litre Boosterjet engine will hit the Indian market with the launch of Baleno RS in the first quarter of 2017. So, the 2017 Swift might also get the new engine.

The interior of the next-gen Suzuki Swift features revised steering wheel and sporty instrument cluster. The top of the line model will sport touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.

The safety features of the 2017 Swift includes dual airbags, ABS, rear parking camera, sensors and more depending on the variant. The new Swift might be priced around a similar range of its current model.
