Toyota Launches MY2017 Fortuner In Dubai
Toyota Middle East has launched the MY2017 model of the Fortuner SUV in Dubai. Although there is no major changes in design comapared to the 2016 model.
Toyota Middle East has refreshed its product portfolio in the SUV segment to MY2017 this month.
The updated models include Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, Fortuner, FJ Cruiser and RAV4. The latest iteration of Fortuner was launched in UAE last year.
This time the SUV gets a jump to MY2017. Although no major design update or changes have been introduced in the new 2017 model.
The 2017 Fortuner is available in three different variants with different level of equipment stuffed in the SUV.
The three different trims are - EXR, GXR and VXR. The 2017 Toyota Fortuner is priced in the range of Dhs 1,09,900 (approximately Rs 19.94 lakh) to Dhs 1,45,000 (approximately Rs 26.31 lakh).
The EXR variant is powered by 2.7-litre dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine which pumps out 164bhp and 244Nm of torque.
The GXR and VXR variants come with the bigger 4-litre VVT-i V6 engine which churns out 235bhp and 375Nm of peak torque.
All the variants gets a six-speed automatic transmission and part-time 4x4 drivetrain as standard. But the VXR and GXR gets the steering mounted paddle gear shifters.
The top of the line VXR is equipped with features such as - dual airbags, power-operated tailgate, rear view camera, leather seats, 8-inch navigation display with audio controls, 8-inch Rear Seat Entertainment system, automatic climate control and 18-inch alloy wheels. Toyota Kirloskar Motor will launch the 2016 Fortuner in India on November 7, 2016.
