Mobile Self Inspection For Cars Launched By ICICI Lombard
ICICI Lombard has introduced a new feature on its mobile application called as Mobile Self Inspection.
India's leading general insurance firm ICICI Lombard has launched a new feature in their mobile application. It's called as Mobile Self Inspection and it helps the customer to buy or renew car insurance policy.
This feature will eliminate the need of physical inspection from insurance surveyor. To make use of this feature customer has to login to the ICICI Lombard website or mobile app.
After entering all the details for renewing or purchasing the insurance, customer will be prompted to upload the self-inspection video through the mobile application. After uploading the video company claims to generate the policy in few hours.
This feature is really convenient for those who are busy and cannot call the customer care and wait for the surveyor to inspect the vehicle. Although there are certain guidelines to follow while recording the video.
The guidelines can be found on the website or in the mobile application. ICICI Lombard claims that if a customer uploads the video between 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday the policy status will be generated on the same day.
Sanjay Datta, Chief, Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims, ICICI Lombard said, "At ICICI Lombard, we understand that once a motor insurance is lapsed, it takes much effort for consumers to renew a policy. Keeping this in mind, we have introduced this unique feature, Mobile Self-Inspection."
ICICI Lombard stated that the Mobile Self Inspection feature will be only for cars and this new feature will be activated on November 24, 2016, on the updated Insure App.
