British carmaker Mini has revealed a new set of Jon Cooper Works (JCW) customisation options for Cooper S variants of its cars including a tuning kit that boosts power.
The tuning package from JCW for the Cooper S priced at £1,760 (Rs. 1.5 lakhs). The tuning package brings with it upgrades to the performance along with the sound coming out of the rear end of the cars.
The performance package cranks up the power from 189bhp to 208bhp and also adds a new exhaust system with ‘Sport' and ‘Track' settings that turn up the volume by opening up flaps when you press the loud pedal (accelerator).
JCW's new tweaks also bring about a few design tweaks than change the look of the car in a rather subtle manner.
Among these changes are carbon exterior mirror caps, a carbon-fibre finish on the air inlet and exhaust tips, new 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels and new decals.
Inside, the Cooper S with the the JCW styling tweaks will get a leather wrapped sports steering wheel alongside a gearshift knob that is done up in leather and chrome. Illuminated door sills are also available as an optional extra.
The new JCW aero package adds a tweaked front end along with a new roof mounted spoiler.
All of the performance upgrades and styling tweaks can be retrofitted or equipped directly onto a new model from the factory and will not void the car's warranty.
