Tantalizing Topless Mercedes SLC 43 AMG Launched In India
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the SLC 43 AMG roadster in India. The Mercedes SLC 43 AMG is priced at Rs. 77.5 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new SLC-class was revealed in December last year and made its official debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show and will replace the SLK-class roadsters in the Mercedes lineup.
Powering the new SLC 43 AMG is a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 engine that produces 362bhp and 520Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sends the power to the rear wheels.
The SLC 43 AMG will sprint from 0–100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and the roadster will keep on accelerating till it tops out at an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
Design wise, the SLC 43 AMG features a rather striking front fascia with angular headlamps flanking a rather chromed out single slat grille with a bulging three-pointed star taking centre stage. Underneath the grille sits the bumper which features a large air dam in the centre along with numerous chrome inserts.
At the rear, the tail lamps follow the lines of the boot lid and feature new graphics. Two exhaust tips flank the sides of the diffuser.
The automatic metal folding roof can now be opened without having to manually set the luggage cover in place and can be operated at speeds up to 40km/h.
Inside, the car features a brand new 4-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with the usual layers of leather that envelop the driver and the passenger. The flat-bottomed steering wheel adds a touch of sportiness as does the red contrast stitching.
