Mercedes GLC 43 AMG Coupe Revealed — Debut Set For Paris
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has revealed the GLC 43 AMG Coupe SUV. The new Mercedes GLC 43 AMG will make its official debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show at the end of the month.
Design wise, the GLC 43 AMG Coupe features a blacked out grille with chrome pins dotting it. The headlamps are slightly recessed compared to the grille, which juts out a bit from the front end of the car. The front bumper is also a lot more chunkier as well.
At the rear, the roof plunges down sharply onto a small, sharply raked spoiler. The bumper features quad exhausts, with two appearing at either side.
Inside, the GLC 43 AMG Coupe sees man-made leather sports seats with red contrast stitching, a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, metal pedals.
There is also a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen display and the the instrument cluster's central screen can be configured to display lap times.
The new GLC 43 AMG Coupe sits on 19-inch alloy wheels, but there are 21-inch alloy wheels available as an option.
Powering the newest AMG badged Mercedes SUV is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 362bhp @ 5500rpm and 520Nm of torque @ 2500rpm.
The engine is paired to a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which spreads the power and torque across all four wheels.
The GLC 43 AMG Coupe will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it hits an electronically limited and typically German top speed of 250km/h.
The new GLC 43 AMG Coupe will go on sale in Europe in December and will butt heads with the BMW X4 and the Porsche Macan.
