Mercedes-Benz India Inaugurate Advanced Auto Body Repair Training Centre
Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated its Advanced Auto Body Repair Training Centre in Chinchwad. This will help the youth gain skill and pursue their career in the automotive industry.
The inauguration of the Auto Body Repair Training Centre will also help boost demand for highly skilled labour, which can help bring service excellence to the automotive industry.
Roland Folger, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz India was present at the inauguration, along with Fr. Godfrey D'souza, Salesian Provincial, Mumbai, Santosh Iyer, Vice President, After-Sales & Retail Training at Mercedes-Benz India, and Fr. Corils Gonsalves, the Director at Don Bosco Private IT.
The selected candidates will be able to sharpen their technical skills using the latest equipment. Mercedes-Benz has also provided a car for this purpose and has spent Rs. 26.5 million for this project.
The course consists of a 12 month Auto Body Repair Technician course and a 1 month add-on advanced level training on Mercedes-Benz cars and equipment. Successful candidates will be awarded an ITI trade certificate, along with a joint Advanced Training certificate issued by Don Bosco and Mercedes-Benz India.
Trainers, on the other hand, are trained at Mercedes-Benz India, Cellete training facility Coimbatore, and also at select Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
