Mercedes-Benz Launches The Petrol Variant Of The GLE SUV In India
German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the petrol variant of the GLE SUV, priced at Rs. 74.90 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The Petrol variant, called the GLE 400 4MATIC will be sold in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
Now, customers looking to buy the GLE, have a choice between diesel and petrol variants to choose from.
Powering the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 4MATIC is a 3.0-litre, V6 petrol engine that develops 333bhp and 480Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of features, the GLE 400 4MATIC comes with five driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Slippery, Individual, and Off-road.
Other features include a Harman Kardon infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay, AIRMATIC suspension, LED headlamps, electronic sunroof, memory function for the driver and passenger seat, parking assist with 360 degree camera, and brand logo projection.
In terms of safety, the GLE 400 comes with Crosswind Assist, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist and Brake Assist, and 6 airbags.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE range now consists of four models: GLE 250 d, GLE 350 d, GLE 400, and the GLE 450 AMG Coupe.
