The world premiere of the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster was the star of the Mercedes-Benz Media Night in Paris. The open-top two-seater will be available in two version - AMG GT Roadster and the AMG GT C Roadster - once launched in February 2017.
The base model of the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster is powered by the AMG 4.0-litre V8 bi turbo which churns out 470bhp, while the more dynamic and visually distinct Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster combines a cool 550bhp of power and a max torque of 680Nm with highly exclusive equipment and appointments.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster was developed in-house by the sports car and performance brand. With the open-top two-seater, Mercedes-Benz marks the expansion of the GT family. Along with the AMG GT and AMG GT S Coupes and the AMG GT3 race car, the GT family has no fewer than six members.
Mercedes-AMG isknown for their performance-oriented approach, the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster delivers on the promise made by its design and is ably backed by a wide range of technologies.
One of the notable highlights is the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with widened track at the rear, active rear axle steering, and electronically controlled differential lock.
The combination of AMG Performance pack, it enables maximum roadster handling, higher cornering speeds, and superb traction. Even the authentic V8 sound delivered by the AMG GT C Roadster comes with the switchable performance exhaust system.
The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster boasts of standard fit interior features such as Nappa leather upholstery, the AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather or DINAMICA microfibre and the additional RACE programme.
In both the version, the top opens and closes in 11 seconds even at speeds of 50km/h. As optional, the AMG Performance seats are available and for the first time the AIRSCARF, a neck-level heating system and seat ventilation for year-round open-air enjoyment.
