German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is preparing for an all-out assault on the car market next year and leaked documents have revealed that nine new Mercs are set to hit the streets in 2017.
One of the nine vehicles bearing the famous three-pointed star badge on its nose will be a new variant of the AMG GT sports car called the AMG GT C. The AMG GT C will first arrive in a roadster form next year with the coupe version set to launch later the same year.
Now, an AMG GT C in full anti-automotive paparazzi camouflage has been spotted testing ahead of the car's debut in 2017.
The AMG GT C is expected to slot in between the GT S and the 'Monster Of The Green Hell', better known as the AMG GT R.
The biggest change with regards to the design of the roadster can be found on the rear end of the car, which features a much wider and reshaped boot lid to accommodate the retractable folding roof.
Also, the third brake light has been moved from its position on top of the rear window in the coupe to the trunk lid. And speaking of lights, between the two tail lights sits a horizontal slat, something not seen on any of the previous AMG GT variants.
