Racing is a dangerous sport, the slightest error can cause a horrific accident. When two drivers are racing each other there is very little room for error. The rule is that once an overtaking move is initiated, drivers need to choose their line and cannot change it till a pass or block is achieved.
At the 2016 Belgian GP, Kimi Raikkonen and Max Verstappen battled extensively. Raikkonen was clearly frustrated with Verstappen's racing lines. The Finnish driver relayed quite a few unpleasantries to his team via radio during the race.
Max Verstappen was blamed for defending his position by Raikkonen. Verstappen changed his line after noticing Raikkonen's position. At one point it looked like both drivers would collide with each other, reminiscent to Fernando Alonso's accident with Esteban Gutierrez.
Kimi Raikkonen was also blamed by Max Verstappen, the Red Bull driver said that complaining on the team radio makes good television. The duo has been criticising each other at post-race interactions as well.
Raikkonen believes that Verstappen needs to learn quickly about safety. He states that it should not be a horrific crash that teaches him this lesson. Verstappen has been involved in several race-altering moments this year, some like his aggressive style, while other believe it is dangerous.
