Max Verstappen Sets Record With First Win For Red Bull At 18
Red Bull Racing has always surprised motorsport enthusiasts with their unorthodox approach. They recently announced mid-season that Daniil Kvyat will be demoted to Toro Rosso while Max Verstappen will step up to the multiple championship winning team.
Max Verstappen has shut all the critics with his very first Formula One win at the Spanish GP. What is even more astonishing is that he has set the record for being the youngest ever driver to win a Formula One race, at just 18 years. This win also comes in his second season driving a Formula One car.
The Spanish GP was a well-fought race between Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing. Mercedes-AMG duo took each other out at turn 3 in an overambitious move for first place. The final result was Max Verstappen first, Kimi Raikkonen was first runner-up, and in third place was Sebastian Vettel.
Unfortunately, no one else will ever be able to break this record ever again. The FIA officials recently passed a rule that it will not allow drivers under 18 years to participate in Formula One. So Max Verstappen will be the final name in the record books, as being the youngest winner in Formula One.
