Now, Vitara Brezza commands a waiting period of almost seven months. So far, Maruti Suzuki dealerships have witnessed over one lakh bookings for the Vitara Brezza. The Japanese-based automobile manufacturer has till date delivered approximately 50,000 compact SUVs.

Currently, Maruti Suzuki has been producing 10,000 units of Vitara Brezza per month, since July. Waiting period is only going to increase owing to Vitara Brezza's popularity. The constraints on manufacturing are also affecting sales of Maruti Suzuki.

Under the hood of Vitara Brezza is a 1,248cc diesel engine from Maruti Suzuki. This engine produces 88.5bhp, along with 200Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki has mated this engine to a 5-speed manual transmission and the engine delivers a fuel efficiency figure of 24.3 km/l.

Previously, there were reports suggesting that Maruti Suzuki could introduce a petrol engine in its Vitara Brezza. It seems like this plan could be delayed owing to the demand and waiting period for Vitara Brezza with a diesel engine.
