Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Waiting Period Up To 4-5 Months
Maruti Suzuki launched its very first compact SUV in the Indian market on March 8, 2016. The compact SUV was christened as the 'Vitara Brezza'. Now reports emerge that customers could have to wait for up to four to five months for the Vitara Brezza.
So far, the Vitara Brezza SUV has received an overwhelming response across India. Maruti Suzuki witnessed 25,000 bookings within two weeks of launching the compact SUV. Customers have started receiving their Vitara Brezza, however, certain models have longer waiting periods.
The Vitara Brezza is priced competitively in India against its compact SUV rivals. The base variant of Maruti Suzuki's compact SUV costs Rs. 6.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). In the Indian market, Vitara Brezza competes head on with Mahindra's TUV3OO and Ford's EcoSport models.
Powering the Vitara Brezza is a 1.3-litre diesel engine, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine is tuned to produce 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque output. Maruti Suzuki claims that the Vitara Brezza delivers fuel efficiency figures of 24.3 km/l certified by ARAI.
Unfortunately, the Vitara Brezza does not come currently with a petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki is rumoured to bring in its 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine for its Vitara Brezza and Baleno RS models. First and foremost Maruti Suzuki will aim at bringing down the waiting period of its Vitara Brezza in India.
