The all-new compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki, the Vitara Brezza, will only have a diesel engine variant to offer. Export models however, will have a petrol engine on offer.
The SUV will be powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine from Suzuki's premium hatchback Swift, which was licensed from Fiat.
Suzuki started the development of the Vitara back in 2012 and the company may introduce a petrol variant later.
Maruti Suzukik is aiming to sell 10,000 Vitara's a month. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo starting next week, while it is expected to reach the Maruti Suzuki showrooms by the first week of March.
The export version of Vitara Brezza is powered by Suzuki's new 1.5-litre M series engine and will be exported to markets such as Indonesia in the first stage of production.
