Get ready to wait for the petrol variant of the popular Maruti Vitara Brezza launch. The auto major will launch the petrol variant Brezza by early 2017.
The wait could bring the much awaited 1.0-litre Booster Jet engine, a performance oriented mill to keep the Vitara Brezza peppy and good feel of the engine.
Apart from the Booster Jet engine, the standard 1.2-litre K-series engine will also be an option on the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

Maruti is on an overdrive to clear the backlogs as waiting period for the vehicle is between six to eight months. Maruti has seen its Utility Vehicle (UV) sales grew 151 percent in July mainly driven by the sales of the Vitara Brezza.
As for the specifications of the petrol mill on the Vitara Brezza, it might come with the choice of 1.0-litre Booster Jet or 1.2-litre K-series engines.
The 1.0-litre Booster Jet is turbocharged engine expected to produce 100bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. As for the 1.2-litre engine, it is expected to develop 82bhp and 115Nm of torque. There is no confirmation on which engine Maruti will finally bring to India with the Vitara Brezza.
