Powering the new Super Carry will be the same diesel engine found in the Celerio hatchback. The 793cc, two-cylinder engine produces 33.5bhp and 75Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Super Carry returns a mileage of 22.07km/l and has a top speed of 80km/h. To ensure the LCV can stop quickly, Maruti has fitted it with disc brakes in the front and the LCV also uses a Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV) braking system that is said to provide better stability during braking.
The Super Carry is 3,800mm long, 1,562m wide, and has a height of 1,868mm. The wheelbase of the LCV is 2,110mm long and it has a ground clearance of 160mm. The Super Carry has a payload capacity of 740 kilograms.
The Super Carry is equipped with a charging socket, odometer, trip meter, fuel meter, and digital clock. Maruti has also made a provision for a stereo.
A really useful feature is the galvanised chassis which will prevent rust from creeping in. A few other features include integrated rain guards and a back window glass that can be opened when needed.
