Maruti Suzuki On Top Again, Rules Passenger Vehicle Segment In India
Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate, passenger vehicle segment in India. Seven of its models featured in the list of top-selling brands, for the month of July, including the recently launched compact SUV, Vitara Brezza.
According to the report from, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers(SIAM), Maruti Alto, remained in the top spot, with 19,844 units sold. Compact sedan from Maruti Suzuki, Dzire, occupied the second spot, with 16,170 cars sold.
Wagon R, took the third spot, with 15,207 cars sold last month. Premium hatch from Maruti Suzuki took the fourth spot, with 15,540 cars sold. Hyundai Grand i10, occupied the fifth position, with 11,961 units sold. While Maruti Suzuki's latest offering Vitara Brezza, made it to the sixth position, with 10,232 cars sold.
Hyundai's premium hatch Elite i20 stood in the seventh spot, with a sale of 9,910 units. Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Omni took the ninth and tenth spot respectively. Hyundai Creta, Honda Jazz, and Maruti Suzuki Celerio could not make it to the top ten list.
