In the ever-changing trend of personalisation, customisation of cars is required to stand out in the crowd. Maruti Suzuki launches iCreate to be unique
Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer has launched a unique customisation feature - iCreate. Looking to cash in on the trend of personalisation, the company wants potential buyers to have an experience of the customisation of their vehicle.
The new feature has debuted with Maruti Suzuki's compact SUV Vitara Brezza, where customers can modify according to their taste while booking the vehicle. The iCreate feature is an experience of how your vehicle would look beforehand.
You can walk into the dealership and while booking the vehicle, order how you want the vehicle to look like.
This could include exterior colour, body graphics, alloy wheel design, seat cover and pattern, interior styling kits, infotainment system options which includeTV sets for the rear passengers.
There are nearly 90 unique accessories to choose from and can be combined in various style to spruce your car and stand out from the crowd.
Currently, the iCreate feature is available for the Vitara Brezza and will release to other cars is there is a good demand for the customisation feature.
The company says that an average customer spends nearly Rs 10,500 over and above the final cost of the car. When it comes to the Vitara Brezza, customers spend about Rs 24,000 and this could be the reason for the company to launch the new customisation feature.
RS Kalsi, executive director, marketing & sales, Maruti Suzuki India said that iCreate is a revolutionary concept being introduced in India for the first time.
He said, that iCreate is not just about accessories, it is a platform which enables one to create a car reflecting their personality. The company's goal was to be the choicest destination for young first-time buyers and for customers upgrading from entry-level hatchback cars.
The Vitara Brezza launched seven months ago and has sold over 50,000 units in spite of the limited engine options of diesel and the petrol is yet to be launched. In some of the cities, the Vitara Brezza commands a waiting period of six-six months.
