Maruti Suzuki Ignis India Launch On 13th January 2017
Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be launched in India on 13th January, 2017.
According to various reports, Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its mini crossover, the Ignis on 13th January, 2017. The company has also listed the Ignis as 'Coming Soon' on its official website.
The Ignis made its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The mini crossover will replace the Ritz hatchback which was recently discontinued from Maruti Suzuki;s product portfolio.
The Ignis will be sold across the country through Maruti Suzuki's premium NEXA dealerships, making it the third product for NEXA.
The Ignis is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants which draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel motor. Transmission duties will be handled by a five-speed manual gearbox and an automatic variant is also expected.
The new compact crossover sports a modern front fascia with projector headlamps and daytime running LED lights. The interior of the car features touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.
The safety features of the Ignis include dual front airbags and ABS with EBD may be provided as a standard feature. Maruti Suzuki had slated the launch of the Ignis during this year's festive season, but due to heavy demand for the Vitara Brezza and Baleno the launch was delayed.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be manufactured at the company's new Gujarat production plant. The compact crossover is expected to be launched with a price tag of around Rs 4 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. When launched the Ignis will take on the Mahindra KUV 100 in its segment.
