Maruti Might Feature Harman Kardon Audio System In Their Cars
If rumors are true, then Maruti Suzuki might collaborate with Harman Kardon for premium audio systems in their future cars. The company is working with Harman and could feature the new audio system in the upcoming Ignis as Suzuki has given the contract to the audio equipment supplier.
Harman Kardon is a global supplier of audio systems to some of the luxury car makers and in India as well. Since Maruti is concentrating in launching premium cars in the coming future, Harman audio system will be seen in the cars.
The audio system might not feature in the entry-level segment due to its price sensitive nature. You might find them in the compact SUV and high-end premium cars from Maruti. Harman audio system is not new to India, Tata Motors has already brought them to India with the Tata Bolt, Zest and the recently launched Tiago.
Harman has a production facility in Pune and this could be from where Maruti will get its supplies of the audio system. The company worked closely with Tata Motors on the ergonomics on the Tata Tiago hatchback; however, the deal is not clear if Maruti work in the same agreement or Harman will act just as a component supplier.
