Maruti Suzuki To Halt Production Of Dzire Tour In India
Maruti Suzuki will halt the production of Dzire Tour in India by March 2017.
India's leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) will stop selling its fleet focused sedan, the Dzire Tour by March 2017.
According to the sources Maruti Suzuki will stop the production of Dzire Tour to make way for the next-generation Dzire expected to be launched in March 2017.
Sources suggest that the car manufacturer has already informed its plan to stop the production of Dzire Tour to its suppliers.
Automotive Industry sources state that Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a new stripped down variant of the current Dzire which will be pushed in the fleet management, whereas the next-gen Dzire will be limited to personal use.
Dzire Tour has been a healthy performer in the market, the sedan was selling in the range of 2,500 to 3,000 units per month. Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 3,017 units Dzire Tour in the month of November.
Recently, Maruti Suzuki stopped the production of Ritz hatchback. Industry experts suggests that this move from Maruti Suzuki is a clear indication of company's focus towards new and high volume products.
