Mahindra's tractor and agricultural equipment rental service, Trringo, has announced that it will open 101 Custom Hiring Centres in the state of Karnataka.
The announcement comes a month after Mahindra signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Karnataka government to set up 101 custom hiring centres in the state. The first Trringo centre was opened in July at Hithnal, Kushtagi Taluka, in the Koppal District of Karnataka.
Farmers can now rent tractors along with other agricultural equipment without having to leave the comfort of their homes by just hopping onto trringo.com. Mahindra has also organised a helpline number - 1800 2662668 - to connect the farmers to the TRRINGO call centre.
Speaking about Trringo, Arvind Kumar, CEO,Trringo, Mahindra 8 Mahindra Ltd said "TRRINGO will play a pivotal role in driving rural prosperity, by offering the farmers the right to mechanisation. With our custom hiring centres we will reach out directly to the farmers and enable them to deploy mechanization technology on a pay per use basis without having to invest in the asset further, it will generate rural employment and help bridge the gab between requirement and availability by offering farmers easy access to a wide variety of tractors."
Kumar further added, "Karnataka is an important market for us and going forward our aim is to expand out operations by setting up key hubs in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
