Mahindra's newly updated version of its Bolero SUV is all set for launch. The new compact version of the Bolero is named as Bolero+. There are no major changes to the exterior on the updated model. The only change to notice is the decrease in size, as Mahindra wanted it to be a compact SUV.
The Bolero+ gets the 1.5-litre m-Hawk D70 engine, but detuned for better mileage. which is expected to be around 16.5km/l. But Mahindra claims that the new engine is better on the performance front. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and Mahindra does not have plans for an AMT option.
Coming to the interior, there is no noticeable change. The existing seats have been improved for better cushioning. There is also no changes in the space offered by this SUV. The Bolero+ is a seven seater and this will be its strong point.
The Bolero+ is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7.1 – Rs 8.6 lakh (on-road). The new SUV will be benefited from its compact size and the micro-hybrid technology, that has been around for some time now.
