Mahindra Will Continue To Sell 1.99-Litre SUVs In Delhi
Mumbai based car maker, Mahindra and Mahindra will continue to sell its XUV500 and Scorpio, equipped with 1.99-litre engines in Delhi-NCR. Supreme Court has lifted the ban on diesel vehicles of 2000cc capacity or more, in Delhi earlier this month.
Supreme Court had imposed the ban in the month of December. Mahindra launched its 1.99-litre m-Hawk engine, earlier this year. Mahindra and Mahindra, Executive Director, Pawan Goenka, said that, for the time being, they will continue with the 1.99-litre version.

With the uncertainty over the ban, Mahindra is not ready to take decisions in a hurry. When asked about the environmental cess on SUVs, Goenka said, it will not make any big difference to its customers, in fact it will help to tackle pollution in a better way.
Mahindra is also planning new strategies on its two wheeler department. With the firm was not able to achieve that amount of success as it expected.
