Mahindra Wants Your Help In Designing Delhi Formula E Track
Mahindra Racing is the only Indian-owned team in the Formula E Championship. They plan on bringing the electric racing championship to Indian shores soon. Now Mahindra Racing is asking its fans and race enthusiasts to help design the track.
Dilbagh Gill, Team Principal, Mahindra Racing, has shared a video on the official Facebook fan page asking for help. Fans can send in sketches, photos or maps for a street circuit in Delhi, India. The winner will win something exciting from Mahindra Racing.
Every Formula E race is held on street circuits making the event interesting. The Delhi Government has pledged to support an ePrix within the capital city of India. Formula E Championship could make its debut in India as early as 2017.
The Formula E Delhi circuit will have to be at least three kilometres long. Space will have to be designed for pitlane as well as garages. The Delhi ePrix will need to have a minimum of eight corners. Fans can send in their designs via Facebook and Twitter for Delhi ePrix layout.
Currently, Mahindra Racing has Nick Heidfeld and Bruno Senna as their race drivers in Formula E Championship. Mahindra Racing stands fifth in the 2016 Championship with 34 points. The next Formula E race is to be held in Mexico on March 13, 2016.
