Mahindra NuvoSport Website Launched; Countdown Begins
Mahindra is gearing up to launch the NuvoSport SUV in India on April 4, 2016 and the company has launched a dedicated website before the vehicle being launched, with a countdown timer ticking. The NuvoSport will be Mahindra's second sub-4 metre SUV.
The Mahindra NuvoSport will be replacing the Quanto in the Indian market and will be based on the new Scorpio, instead of the Xylo, which the Quanto was designed. The NuvoSport features a completely different front end, including a grille that looks similar to the Scorpio.

In terms of engine specification, Mahindra has not yet made an announcement, but is expected to carry forward the 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine from the Quanto that develops 100bhp or the TUV300's engine. Also, there is a high chance that the NuvoSport will also receive a petrol engine, one that powers the KUV100.
Both engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the higher end variants could feature Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The Mahindra NuvoSport could return a mileage of around 16 to 19km/l from the diesel engine and the petrol engine could return a mileage of around 15 to 17km/l.
In terms of features, the Mahindra NuvoSport may come equipped with a 2-DIN infotainment system with navigation, two-tone interior, ABS, airbags, cruise control, parking sensors, and 8 way adjustable seat. Stay tuned as we will bring you live updates from the launch.
