Mahindra & Flipkart Record 21,000 KUV1OO Bookings In A Month
Mahindra launched the all-new KUV1OO model in the country on January 15, 2016. The Indian automobile giant decided to sell its new model through regular dealerships as well as through online e-commerce websites. Flipkart now confirms that the KUV1OO received an overwhelming response since its launch.
Within a month's time Mahindra has recorded over 21,000 bookings for the KUV1OO through Flipkart and regular dealerships. More than 45 percent of bookings through Flipkart are from the top five cities in India. This proves a positive shift to online purchase of automobiles as well.
Flipkart themselves have started their automobiles section in January 2016. The goal was to provide Indian customers with unique buying experience from the comfort of their home or office. Mahindra's KUV1OO proves that vehicles can be sold via the internet.
The KUV1OO by Mahindra is powered by a petrol and diesel option for the Indian market. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre diesel engine develops 77bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The KUV1OO petrol model is priced from Rs. 4.45 lakh to Rs. 5.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The diesel model starts from Rs. 5.25 lakh and goes up to Rs. 6.84 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The online and offline bookings for KUV1OO have impressed both Flipkart and Mahindra.
