Formula E: Mahindra Launches #DrivenByDesign Contest
Mahindra has launched a competition for its fans to design the livery for its M3Electro racing car, called the Driven By Design Contest. The new livery will be featured on the Mahindra Formula E car that will compete in the third edition of the FIA Formula E Championship.
Dilbagh Gill, the team Principal at Mahindra Formula E Racing said, "We want to help Mahindra Racing fans from all over the world to feel part of the team. It is not just our immediate team that has ingenuity, passion, and relentless drive when it comes to our motorsport activities, Mahindra fans have it in plentiful supply as well."
"I am pleased to be able to partner with Pininfarina to offer such an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime prize for this competition."
The competition was launched on August 1, 2016, and will be open for 10 days. Competitors have to follow a set of terms and conditions, that are on the Mahindra Racing Facebook page.
Mahindra Racing is teaming up with Pininfarina for this particular contest and the contestants will be judged by Pininfarina's team. The winner will be chosen by Fabio Filippini, the Chief Designer at Pininfarina.
Such a competition however, is not the first for Mahindra. Earlier this year, Mahindra announced a similar contest, calling fans to design a race track in Delhi. Fans from all over the world took part and the shortlisted designs were presented to the state government of Delhi.
