The luxury car segment has reached a new height as the festival of lights Diwali boosts the sales of luxury cars in Hyderabad.
The premium car showrooms registered a growth of 30 percent in the city compared to the same period of last year. The luxury car lovers are spending between Rs 50 to 70 lakh to purchase their favourite car, which is the preferred range in this segment.
Cars with the price tag of around Rs 1 crore are also being sold but in smaller numbers compared to other segments.
The premium car showrooms are expecting the bookings to continue up to Dhanteras with a lineup of auspicious dates for taking deliveries.
Although, Hyderabad stands in the fourth spot after Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru in terms of sales of luxury cars in India. As per reports around 350 to 400 units of luxury cars will be sold this festive season.
A BMW showroom General Manager in the city said, "Compared to last year when we sold about 50 cars during the Deepavali season, this year we have already seen a 30 per cent jump in bookings."
The most of the customers who are buying the luxury cars are single professional who are working in IT sector or those who have just started a start-up firm.
While the luxury cars are encashing on the festive season, the lower and mid-segment cars are also selling like hot cakes in the city.
