Nissan Announces A Limited Edition Version Of Its Rogue SUV — Here’s Why It’s Interesting
Nissan has announced that it will produce a limited edition version of the newly revised Rogue compact SUV, called the "2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition" for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Also previewed was a special badging for the vehicle, designed by Lucasfilm, which will debut on the new "Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition."
The vehicle will be officially revealed to the world during the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, scheduled to take place in November 2016. The film on the other hand, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, opens on December 16, 2016.
The Nissan Rogue, one of the best-selling models in the Nissan lineup, has been updated for the 2017 model year, with exterior and interior upgrades, Safety Shield technology including available Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and the first ever Rogue Hybrid model.
Powering the Nissan Rogue is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 170bhp and 237Nm of peak torque.
Power is sent to all-four wheels using Nissan's Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Also present in the SUV is a ECO mode drive option, ensuring optimum balance between power and economy.
On the features front, the Nissan Rogue comes with 17-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, rear spoiler, advanced drive assist display, NissanConnect, bluetooth hands free system, audio system with a 5-inch colour display, rearview monitor, and three rows of seating.
Safety features aboard the Nissan Rogue include hill start/ descent control, Active Trace Control, engine braking, ride control, dual stage airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
