Organised for the very first time in 2001, the Smart Times, gathering of smart cars, have travelled to different cities over the course of time.
This time the event was organised in Hamburg, to try and break the previous record of 1,427 cars gathered in Cascais, Portugal. And the event was successful with a whopping 1,635 smart cars taking part in event.
Smart Times, saw some of the rarest cars in the world of smart cars. Ranging from regular models, limited editions and one-off's. There was also a off-road smart car with big tyres and a super rare Crossblade, of which only 2000 units were built.
A total of 3,167 people attended this event. Which is higher than last years event in Budapest, Hungary where 2,476 people were present, with 1,207 cars taking part in the smart car parade.
In 2017, event will be organised in Salou, Spain. Where they will try to improve this year's record. Next year some new models are expected to make it to the event, such as ForTwo Coupe.
