Lamborghini Will Be Producing Only 3500 Cars A Year
The Italian supercar maker Lamborghini, has stated that it will be manufacturing only 3,500 supercars a year. This step has been taken to make room for the company's next offering, the Urus SUV, which is on the cards.
Lamborghini says that when the new Urus SUV makes it to production, the annual production will almost double to 7,000 vehicles a year. But Lamborghini's Chief Executive, Stefano Domenicali, said that the company will be committed towards its exclusive supercars produced.
Lamborghini also plans to expand its dealership network, with the new Urus SUV making its way to the market. The firm will be expanding its dealers from 132 outlets to 160 outlets, out of which 30 percent of the outlets will be in US.
After Ferrari's move to increase the production of its cars to 9,000 units a year, Lamborghini is headed in the opposite direction.
