Topless LaFerrari Aperta Spied Ahead Of Paris Motor Show Debut

Earlier this month, Ferrari confirmed what had been rumoured for a while now, an open-top version of its LaFerrari hybrid hypercar which would make its official debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show at the end of September.

The open-top hypercar which is expected to be called the LaFerrari Aperta, has now been spied testing ahead of its debut on the streets of Ferrari's hometown, Maranello.

The LaFerrari Aperta seen in the image above appears to be in the final stages of testing with around two months left for its debut. Thankfully the loss of the roof doesn't seem to have done anything to spoil the looks of the Ferrari flagship.

The new LaFerrari Aperta will use the same hybrid powertrain setup seen in the LaFerrari. The sonorous 6.3-litre V12 engine along with an electric motor produce 950bhp and 900Nm of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Only 150 models of the LaFerrari Aperta will be made and deliveries are expected to begin in 2017, the year Ferrari turns 70. However, if you want one of the drop-top LaFerraris, you're out of luck as all of them have been sold despite the rumoured price tag of €3.5 million (Rs. 25.88 crore).
