Jeep Unleashes The Wrangler Trailcat Concept
Jeep
has
released
seven
new
concept
vehicles
to
celebrate
the
50th
Annual
Easter
Jeep
Safari,
which
is
also
the
company's
75th
birthday.
One
of
the
seven
concepts
released
is
the
Jeep
Trailcat
concept,
a
Hellcat-powered
Wrangler.
The concept is based on the Jeep Wrangler and it gets exterior modifications that make it look more aggressive. The windshield also gets a 2 inch chop to give it a sleek look.
The
SUV
will
sport
both
Hellcat
and
Trailcat
decals
on
the
exterior.
On
the
inside,
it
gets
bucket
seats
borrowed
from
the
Dodge
Viper.
Lurking under the bonnet is a 6.2-litre HEMI V8 engine producing 707bhp at 6,000rpm and 881Nm torque at 4,000rpm. It is the same engine from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The 6.2-litre V8 is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The
Trailcat
will
be
equipped
with
front
and
rear
steel
bumpers,
front
and
rear
Dana
60
axles,
and
Fox
shocks.
The concept SUV is equipped with 17-inch beadlock wheels with massive 39.5-inch BF-Goodrich Krawler tyres on them.
