Jaguar Formula E Race Machine Steps Out On To The Track
Jaguar confirmed that it would be part of the upcoming Formula E Championship. Williams Advanced Engineering will be supporting Jaguar's racing ambitions. Now the first images of the Jaguar Formula E race machine on track have emerged.
So far, Jaguar has not revealed details of the power unit. The British-based marquee will be part of Formula E season three. Jaguar will be replacing Trulli Racing Team, which ran into financial issues and had to pull out of the Formula E racing Championship.
The first outing by Jaguar's electric race machine was made around the Mallory Park. A simplistic livery was adorned by the electric single-seater racecar. Green lettering reads #JaguarElectrifies with a smoke grey colour option.
At this moment, Jaguar has not confirmed its driver lineup for the third season of Formula E. Sam Bird and Alex Lynn are most likely to drive for Jaguar in the upcoming season. An official announcement of drivers and management will be made soon.
