Isuzu Imports The MU-X SUV Into India
A recent search on the Import database reveal that Isuzu Motors have imported a single unit of the MU-X SUV into India, hopefuly for homologation purposes. We had earlier reported that the company will be launching the MU-X December 2016. Once launched, the new SUV is expected to replace the MU-7.
From a design point of view, the MU-X borrows many styling cues from the D-MAX. The wedge-shaped front fascia and the muscular flared wheel arches increase the appeal of the SUV while the cabin offers enough room for seven people.
The MU-X will be offered in three trim levels. Even the base variant features a six-speaker sound system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. The range-topping LS-T gets a roof-mounted Sky Sound system and 10-inch DVD monitors for the rear passengers.
In the interior, the multi-function steering wheel now features an Isuzu logo. An all black theme is carried out in the interior with the black coloured dashboard and upholstery.
The SUV also features an automatic climate control, cruise control, and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Globally, Isuzu offers the MU-X with a 3.0-litre, diesel engine, which can produce 174bhp and a peak torque of 380 Nm.
In India, we expect the MU-X to be offered with the engine that powers the MU-7, which also a 3.0-litre diesel engine, but with less power output.
