Insane Ford F-150 Police Truck: Beware Criminals!!

Ford has equipped the US police with the new F-150 truck makeover, these are not for pursuit but for patrolling and features never before seen gadgets.

Ford offers 'Special Service Vehicle Package', the US police can choose between a 4x4 and RWD (Rear Wheel Drive), which has the option to power the truck with 5.0-litre V8 or the lesser powered 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine.

There are other features like the high-output alternator which ensures that the huge flashing lights will not drain the batteries and the seats are easy to clean in case the arrests get messy.

On the other hand, the range includes a transit van designed to ferry prisoners. Arie Groeneveld, Ford's chief police vehicle engineer says, "We offer a whole family of police vehicles, our lineup aims to fulfil the unique needs of law enforcement officers, and our F-150 Special Service Vehicle is an extension of that offering."

There is even space to carry K-9 officers to carry out their tasks. Apart from these, there is enough space for equipment like the dispatch computers and the rear space can be converted as a kennel for the K-9 officers.

Ford has included the F-150 into the range of other police vehicles like the Taurus sedan and Explorer SUV.
