Infiniti has showcased its QX Sport Inspiration concept at the Paris Motor Show. The automaker has said in a statement that this vehicle will establish "markers for future Infiniti QX models" and explore the "brand's vision for a next-generation, premium mid-size SUV."
With the all-new QX Sport Inspiration, Infiniti said that it is pursuing "'Powerful Elegance' form language," consisting of a "signature double-arch grille, focused 'human eye' headlamps, 'crescent-cut' pillar and masculine, fluid body sculpting."
The market of luxury Crossovers and SUVs are growing. Designers are looking to make their mark in this segment. In 2016 itself the sales growth of the SUVs has been very strong and so many vehicles hit the roads in this segment, including Bentley's Bentayga and Maserati's Levante.
Recent design shows that the makers are adding sedan and sport-car elements into SUV and even some are capable of accelerating like sports cars. Nowadays even midsize models are fairly large and have hybrid coupe-styling touches, such as the QX Sport Inspiration's "sloping roofline," Infiniti described it.
