Hyundai Xcent Compact Sedan To Be Updated For Indian Market By 2018
In 2018, Hyundai will be updating its Xcent compact sedan with styling cues from Euro-spec Grand i10. The new Hyundai Xcent will be aimed at private vehicle buyers in the Indian market.
The Xcent compact sedan by Hyundai Motors was introduced during February 2014. Now, the Korean-based automobile manufacturer plans on updating the Xcent sometime during 2018. Overall styling of Hyundai Xcent will be revamped for a fresher design language.
Currently, Hyundai Xcent is a popular choice among Ola and Uber owners. A majority of the sales come from the taxi drivers across India. The 2018 Hyundai Xcent will be aimed to attract private buyers in the Indian market, thus boosting total sales.
All-new Hyundai Xcent will receive similar design cues from the euro-spec Grand i10. The Xcent will sport a large hexagonal grille with a redesigned front bumper. Hyundai is also likely to update the headlights, fog lamps, and bonnet of the 2018 Xcent compact sedan.
Under the hood of 2018 Hyundai Xcent will be a 1.1-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Both engines will be offered with both manual as well as AMT gearboxes. It is likely that both engine options will be tuned for improved fuel efficiency as well as performance.
Interiors of 2018 Hyundai Xcent will also be updated. No extreme makeover is expected, however, expect top trims to receive premium treatment. Once the new Xcent arrives expect it to compete with the all-new Chevrolet Essentia, Tata Kite 5, and Ford Aspire models.
