Hyundai Motors India has planned to launch its premium SUV offering, the Tucson on October 24, 2016. Previously, all-new Tucson was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Tucson by Hyundai will fill in the gap between Creta and Santa Fe models sold in India.
Under the hood of 2016 Hyundai Tucson are a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine option. Both engines will be mated to manual as well as automatic transmissions. Hyundai will offer its Tucson in multiple tune options as well for customer satisfaction.
The automobile manufacturer plans a minimum of 50 percent localisation. Hyundai wants to price its premium SUV competitively in India. Once launched expect a price tag ranging from Rs. 16 lakh to Rs 23 lakh ex-showroom.
Tucson was previously offered in the Indian market, however, it did not witness huge success. Hyundai discontinued the Tucson in India back in 2012 and will be resurrecting the SUV once again. It will be interesting to see whether the 2016 Tucson witnesses success or follows the previous route.
