Hyundai Tucson SUV Could Launch In India By 2016-End
Hyundai Motors unveiled the all-new Tucson SUV in India during the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Now there is a high possibility that the Tucson will be launched in India by 2016-end. The all-new Tucson would fill in the void created by Hyundai's Creta And Santa Fe models.
Under the hood of 2016, Tucson would be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This engine will be capable of producing 175bhp, along with 195Nm of peak torque and will be mated only to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Once the Hyundai Tucson is launched in India, we expect it to compete with Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Ford's Endeavour. Hyundai is likely to price its 2016 Tucson competitively. We expect Hyundai Tucson to cost at a starting price of Rs. 17.5 lakh ex-showroom.
Pricing will be crucial to Hyundai Tucson's success in the Indian market. Hyundai Motors will not be introducing a petrol or manual transmission even as an option.Stay tuned for more updates from Hyundai and its upcoming launches during their 20th Anniversary Year.
