Hyundai i20 Gets A Shot In The Arm; Turbo Edition Launched In The UK

The South Korean auto major has launched the Turbo Edition of the i20 in the United Kingdom. Hyundai's i20 which is already a popular model - thanks to its pedigree at the World Rally Championship.

Hyundai has given cosmetic updates for the i20 Turbo Edition with the sporty 16-inch alloy wheels and has different colour options as Polar White, Aqua Sparkling, Sleek Silver, Stardust Grey, Phantom Black and Red Passion.

Apart from the above changes, the exterior is the standard model design. Under the hood, the standard has been given a boost by the turbochargers for the 1.0-litre unit which punches out 99bhp and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Hyundai i20 Turbo Edition can go from 0 - 62mph in 10.9 seconds. The new car comes with all the features seen on the standard i20, that is, Bluetooth, a DAB radio, cruise control, and leather multifunction steering wheel.

The Turbo Edition of the i20 comes with the addition of a 7-inch touch screen with sat-nav and a rearview camera, and auto lights and wipers.

Hyundai has priced the i20 Turbo Edition at 12,975 sterling pound (approx. Rs. 11.33 lakh).
