Hyundai India has introduced the automatic variant of the Elite i20 silently with details of the hot hatch. Much ahead of the festive season, the South Korean carmaker has listed the specifications and features of the Elite i20 automatic model.
The Hyundai i20 automatic (AT) is powered by a 1.4-litre Dual VTVT, four-cylinder, 16-valve petrol engine which generates 99bhp and 132Nm of torque and comes mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox, which is seen on the Verna 4S and the Grand i10.
Hyundai is offering the AT option of the Elite i20 on the Magna variant, which boasts of dual airbags, keyless entry, seatbelt pre-tensioners for the driver and passenger seats and wheel caps rather than alloys.
On the entertainment front, the Magna variant of the Elite i20 will feature a 2-DIN integrated radio and an MP3 player with front and rear speakers and tweeters. Also, seen are the Bluetooth connectivity, Aux and USB ports and the audio can be controlled through the steering mounted controls.
The Magna variant of the Elite i20 gets the manual AC with rear AC vents for the rear passengers and electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors. The production of the Elite i20 automatic has commenced and expected to hit showrooms in the second week of September. Prices are yet to be announced.
