Hyundai Eon Available With More Variants & Optional Airbag
Hyundai Motors India has now decided to offer more variants of the Eon with optional driver side airbags. The base variant D-Lite variant still misses out on an optional driver's side airbag option. All other variants of the Hyundai Eon will be offered with an optional airbag to the customer.
Variants available in the Hyundai Eon have also be increased in the Indian market. Now Hyundai will offer D-Lite, D-Lite+, Era+, Magna+, Sportz, and Magna+ (O) variants. Previously only the Sportz trim was offered with optional driver side airbags.
Customers opting for the optional driver side airbag will have to shell out an additional Rs. 10,000 over the model without airbags. Both the 0.8-litre as well as the 1.0-litre engine in the Eon will be offered with optional driver side airbag. Unfortunately, the 1.0-litre engine will be on offer only in the Magna, Magna+, and Magna+ (O) trim level.
Maruti Suzuki's Alto 800 recently started offering customers with optional driver side airbag from its base variant. The Renault Kwid provides optional airbag only in the RXT variant, which is the top-most spec. Hyundai's Eon competes with both models and needed to be on par.
