Hyundai Working On Eon Facelift — Details Revealed
The Hyundai Eon facelift is currently in the works and is set to launch sometime next year.
The Hyundai Eon is a car in a dire need of a facelift to help the Korean carmaker counter the presence of new competition from the likes of Renault's Kwid and the Datsun redi-GO that have made their way into the entry-level hatchback in the past 18 months.
According to Autocar's sources in the company, the Hyundai Eon facelift is currently in the works and is set to launch in India sometime next year with minor exterior tweaks along with a few much needed changes to the interior.
The Hyundai Eon facelift is set to bring in a few minor changes in terms of design with major changes in design only expected to appear with the next-generation model which will appear sometime in the future.
However, on the inside, the Hyundai Eon facelift will bring with it a much-needed upgrade to the infotainment system with a touchscreen interface to help it counter the Renault Kwid which offers the same feature for its top-of-the-line variant. Other changes inside are expected to be minor.
The 2017 Hyundai Eon facelift is expected to retain the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre three cylinder engines that are currently present under the bonnets of the Eon's numerous variants.
The new Hyundai Eon Facelift isn't expected to come with a major hike in prices when it finally hits the streets next year.
